Young Life One: O.C.

We work with the Department of Child and Family Services and Foster Family Agencies in order to introduce foster youth to Jesus Christ, help them grow in their faith, provide them with a sense of family, and lead them toward self-sustaining adulthood.

Young Life: One creates environments in which leaders can establish real relationships with foster youth and offer them the love and family that they have been deprived. We form these relationships through weekly youth clubs (dinner, skits, silly games, bible based message), special events, and week-long or weekend camps.

Club Every Week for Jr. High, High School, and College Age Youth!

What is club?

Food

A family style meal creates space to talk. It also allows the kids to serve each other and experience the benefits of service.

Join a club!

Fun

Every game and skit lets kids see the leaders acting goofy and helps break down the walls youth have built around themselves.

Talks

A bible message is given by a different leader each week. leaders share how it relates to a part of their personal story. This vulnerability shows the kids that ‘club’ is a safe place to share their story and allows them to see the leaders in a more personal way.

ABOUT YOUNG LIFE

Since 1941

In a town in Texas, at the request of his pastor, a young associate pastor named Jim Rayburn began showing young people how much God cares about them by showing up in their world and sharing the message of God's love through Jesus in ways and words they could understand and relate to.
